February is...
Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month
(From breakthecycle.org)
"This February start talking...about healthy relationships
Teen Dating Violence (DV) Prevention and Awareness Month is a national effort to raise awareness about abuse in teen and 20-something relationships and promote programs that prevent it during the month of February.
The repercussions of teen dating violence are impossible to ignore – they hurt not just the young people victimized but also their families, friends, schools and communities. Throughout February, organizations and individuals nationwide are coming together to highlight the need to educate young people about dating violence, teach healthy relationship skills and prevent the devastating cycle of abuse."
Join me throughout the month of February as I continue to raise awareness on teen dating abuse. I will host giveaways and donation drives, share facts, figures, articles, and information, explain ways to get help and help others, and much, much more.

Thanks for helping raise awareness for this important cause. And happy blogoversary!
I love blogging too, altho, there are days when it feels like a chore, but only cuz there are so many other things that have to be done. Once I dive in tho, I absolutely love all the support and this community!
Happy anniversary Rebecca! :-) Like many relationships, I can honestly say blogging just gets better the longer you stick with it. I think you just accumulate more friends, etc. and begin to form real (meaningful) relationships with them the longer you do it.
(Like the lady who commented above! :-) PK and I have known each other for years now...)
Hope you have many more blogging years in you.
Also really great of you to highlight teen dating violence. Patterns of relationship violence (both for victims and perpetrators) typically begin in the teens. No better way to break a habit than by never getting into it, and for that to happen you need to be able to recognize what it is.
I think it's wonderful that you're raising awareness of this issue. I think it's sometimes one of the issues that gets glossed over, but it needs to be discussed. Thanks!
Happy blogiversary!
Thanks :)
I tend to put off too much to blog, read, and comment...and the support is wonderful. I have met some amazing and wonderful people! :)
i completely agree! I plan on sticking with it for many years...I'm addicted and love everyone I've met. Blogging (including reading and commenting on everyone's blogs) is my favorite, and I tend to push off my writing too much to do so. What an amazing community :) There is no other place like it.
Breaking the cycle is so important- make sure you join me in February in raising awareness. It's scarey how many teens are in abusive relationships
Thanks :)
I agree- so important to talk about it.
Happy Blogging Anniversary!
